The Maldives is made up of 1,200 islands stretching over an 800km long vertical strip in the Indian Ocean. A paradise for surfers of all skill levels with waves on offer for beginners, intermediate and advanced surfers. Although all the waves in the Maldives are reef breaks, there are still a huge variety of different waves to choose from. Anything from long running left and right point breaks to steeper barrelling waves. The best time to surf the Maldives is from the months of March til October. During this period, low pressure are systems generated in the South and produce consistent swell for the entire region with offshore winds blowing throughout the surf season.
