Getting There

Arrival is at Bali's international airport, Ngurah Rai (Denpasar). Depending on your arrival time, you will either spend the night in Bali or continue with your journey to the beautiful island of Sumba that same day.

Flight from Bali to Sumba

Sumba is located 400km east of Bali. It is easily accessible by a short 50-minute flight in a Bombardier jet – thanks to Garuda Indonesia airlines.

Your journey to Nihi Sumba is a relaxing and peaceful 90-minute trip from Tambolaka airport. Along the way you leave behind the bustling streets of Bali for a more Africa-meets-Asia experience.

Occy's Left

This is a world-class left-hander exclusive to Nihiwatu guests, with surfer numbers capped at 10 per day. This wave is incredible at any size; the bigger the better. It can get fast and hollow at low tide, with stand-up barrels on offer. The wave can be surfed on all tides and choice depends on the preferences of each individual surfer.

Nihi Sumba does not have a dedicated kids club, but the resort staff can tailor activities to ensure the little ones have a blast! They can set up beach and pool games and also offer a babysitting service.
